Deputy Governor - Strategy, Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT)

Warit Rattanachuen serves as Deputy Governor – Strategy at the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), a state enterprise under the Ministry of Energy. EGAT is responsible for electricity generation, transmission, and bulk energy sales across Thailand.

He leads the organization’s strategic direction and governance framework. His scope of responsibilities includes corporate strategy, risk management, and KPI development for both the organization and its executives. He also oversees Thailand’s Power Development Plan (PDP), transmission system planning, and electricity tariff structure, as well as power purchase negotiations with domestic and international partners.

In addition, he drives innovation and business development initiatives, aligns strategic direction across EGAT’s corporate group, and champions energy efficiency and sustainability programs. His responsibilities also extend to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and public relations, reinforcing EGAT’s commitment to power system security and stakeholder engagement.
